Alright, let’s talk about this Spanish style art thing. I don’t know much about fancy art, you know, the kind them city folks like. But I know what I like, and I reckon I can tell you a thing or two about what I’ve seen.
What is this Spanish Style Art Anyway?
Well, from what I gather, it ain’t just one thing. It’s a whole bunch of stuff, like them Cubism and Surrealism things. Sounds complicated, don’t it? But it just means they paint stuff in a different way, not all straight and proper like some pictures. You know, like when you look at a house, it ain’t just a square box, it’s got all sorts of angles and corners. That’s kinda what them Cubism fellas do, I think.
And then there’s this Surrealism. That’s the real weird stuff. Like dreams and such. You ever had a dream where things just don’t make no sense? A horse with wings, or a clock melting like butter? That’s kinda what them Surrealism artists paint. It’s all kinda…dreamy.
Spanish Colonial Style – Like Them Old Houses
Now, this here Spanish Colonial style, that’s something I can understand a bit better. It’s all about them old houses, the ones with the dark wood beams and the tall ceilings. Makes you feel like you’re in a church, kinda. And they got them terracotta floors, the ones that stay cool even in the summer. And all that fancy ironwork, you know, on the doors and windows? It’s real pretty, even if it is a bit dusty sometimes.

And then there’s this Mexican folk art. Now that’s somethin’ else! It’s all bright colors and happy faces. They paint all sorts of things – animals, flowers, people, even skeletons! But it ain’t scary skeletons, mind you. It’s more like…celebration skeletons. Like they’re happy to be dead or somethin’. I don’t quite get it, but it sure is pretty to look at.
Speaking the Spanish Talk
Now, I don’t speak no Spanish myself, ‘cept for a few words here and there. But I hear it’s a beautiful language, real flowery and such. And they got all sorts of letters and accents that we don’t have in English. Makes it hard to type, I reckon. But there’s ways to do it, even if you don’t have one of them fancy Spanish keyboards. You can just copy and paste them letters from a website, or use some special codes. It’s all a bit too complicated for me, but them young folks, they seem to figure it out just fine.
So, What’s the Big Deal with Spanish Style Art?
Well, I reckon it’s just different, you know? It ain’t like all them other fancy arts you see in museums. It’s got its own flavor, its own style. It’s got history, it’s got culture, it’s got…well, it’s got somethin’ special. It’s like a good home-cooked meal, simple but satisfying. It ain’t fancy, but it fills you up. And that’s what I like about it. It tells a story, it makes you feel somethin’. And that’s more than you can say for a lot of them modern art things, I tell ya.
So, next time you see somethin’ that says “Spanish style art,” don’t just walk on by. Take a look, see what it’s all about. You might just find somethin’ you like. And if you don’t, well, that’s alright too. Art ain’t for everyone, I reckon. But it’s worth a try, ain’t it?
And remember, it ain’t just about paintin’s neither. It’s about the whole shebang – the houses, the furniture, the clothes, everything. It’s a whole way of life, a whole way of seein’ the world. And that’s somethin’ special, that is.
