I reckon it’s like them artists, they take dog pictures and make ’em all fancy. They use bright colors, ya know, like the ones on them candy wrappers the grandkids love. Reds, yellows, blues, all mixed up together. Makes the dogs look kinda funny, but in a good way, like they’re ready for a party or somethin’. Some of ’em, they look like they made outta little blocks of color, all stuck together. It’s kinda like them quilts my grandma used to make, but with dogs instead of flowers.

Now, I heard some real funny ways they make these pictures. One fella, he said you can put peanut butter on a bag and then put paint all over a canvas. Then, you stick that canvas in the bag, and let your dog lick it! The dog spreads the paint around, and you get a real “artsy” picture, they say. Sounds messy to me, but hey, whatever works, right? Another way, they just use computers and stuff. They take a picture and then they change the colors on the computer. Makes it all look neat and tidy.

Well, I don’t know much about famous artists. But my grandkid told me about this fella, Andy somethin’. Andy Warhol, that’s it! He painted them soup cans, ya know, the red and white ones? Well, he did all sorts of pop art, and I guess these colorful dog pictures are kinda like that. He used bright colors and everyday things, just like these dog pictures do. So maybe he’s the granddaddy of all this colorful dog art, who knows?
Is this colorful dog art valuable?
Now, I ain’t no appraiser or nothin’, but I reckon some of these pictures might be worth somethin’, especially if a famous artist made ’em. But most of ’em, they’re just for fun. You put ’em on your wall, and they make the place look a little brighter. They ain’t gonna make you rich, but they might make you smile, and that’s worth somethin’, ain’t it? It’s like them pretty flowers you plant in your yard. They don’t make you money, but they sure make the place look cheerful.
So, that’s about all I know about these colorful dog pop art things. They’re bright, they’re cheerful, and they make dogs look kinda funny. If you like dogs and you like bright colors, then you’ll probably like ’em too. And if you don’t, well, that’s okay too. To each their own, I always say.
