Discover the Legend of Kejourou Yokai: Origins and Powers

Alright, let’s talk about this Kejourou Yokai thing. I don’t know much about fancy words or nothin’, but I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I know how.

First off, this Kejourou, she’s a yokai, right? Now, yokai, them’s like spirits or monsters or somethin’. Kinda like the stories my grandma used to tell, ‘cept these are Japanese ones. This Kejourou, she’s got hair, lots of it, and she uses it to fight! Can you imagine? Like, whippin’ her hair around like a crazy woman! I tell ya, if I had that much hair, I’d be sellin’ it for wigs, not fightin’ with it! But that’s just me.

They say she mostly hangs around this Nura household, doin’ kitchen stuff. Cookin’ and cleanin’, I guess. Sounds like a regular woman to me, ‘cept for the hair-fightin’ part. Maybe she’s like one of them busybodies always fussin’ around the kitchen, makin’ sure everything’s just so. You know the type, always tellin’ ya how to do things, even if you been doin’ it your whole life.

  • She’s a yokai.
  • She fights with her hair.
  • She works in the kitchen.

Now, this yokai business, it’s kinda like them old fairy tales, ain’t it? Like them stories ’bout witches and goblins. ‘Cept these yokai got all sorts of different shapes and sizes. Some are scary, some are funny, and some, like this Kejourou, are just plain weird. But I guess that’s what makes ’em interesting, huh?

Speaking of other yokai, there’s this Aunn fella. He lives in a shrine, which is like a church, I guess. And he’s friendly, like a big ol’ dog. They call ’em komainu, which sounds fancy, but it just means a kinda dog-lion thing. He’s probably one of the good ones, not causin’ trouble or nothin’. Just sittin’ there, waggin’ his tail, maybe chasin’ after sticks. Sounds like a good boy to me.

Then there’s these Kirin fellas. Now, them’s powerful, the most powerful, they say. But they ain’t mean or nothin’. They’re all calm and majestic, like a king or somethin’. They won’t hurt a fly, not even step on the grass if they can help it. But, and this is important, they’ll get ya if you’re bad. So, you gotta be good, see? Kinda like Santa Claus, ‘cept way bigger and scarier. But mostly, they’re just mindin’ their own business, bein’ all powerful and stuff.

So, back to this Kejourou. She’s got her hair, her kitchen duties, and her yokai status. She sounds like a pretty interesting character, if you ask me. Not your typical monster, that’s for sure. But then again, what’s typical about monsters anyway? They’re all different, all unique, just like us folks. ‘Cept they got powers and magic and stuff, and we just got our good looks and common sense. Well, some of us anyway.

Anyway, that’s about all I got to say about this Kejourou Yokai. She’s a hair-fightin’, kitchen-workin’ yokai, and that’s all there is to it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about kitchens got me hungry.

One more thing, though. I heard some folks, these Kiyojuji Paranormal Patrol fellas, they keep mistakin’ her for somethin’ else. Can you believe that? Mistakin’ a hair-fightin’ yokai? Must be some real city slickers, them fellas. Don’t know a yokai from a hole in the ground, I bet. Well, that’s their problem, not mine. I know what a Kejourou is, and that’s all that matters.
