Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this Chicken Itch-a place, yeah, that’s what they call it, some kinda wonder of the world. I ain’t never seen it myself, mind you, but I heard things. They say it’s one of the big shots, one of the “New 7 Wonders,” they call ’em.
Now, what’s so special about it? From what I gather, it’s a whole heap of old buildings and stuff, made by folks way back when. Lots of rocks piled up, real fancy-like. They say it’s important, this place, like somethin’ we should all know about. Kinda like how they say the Bible’s important, though I reckon more folks have seen the Bible than this Chicken place.
- They say some fella, a Swiss or somethin’, he started this whole “New 7 Wonders” thing. Got folks votin’ and all. Imagine that, votin’ on which rocks is the best! Sounds like somethin’ them city folk would do.
- And this Chicken Itch-a, it won fair and square, I guess. Beat out a whole bunch of other places, so they say. Must be somethin’ to it, I reckon, though I still prefer my old porch swing for wonderin’.
They got this list, see? The Colosseum in Italy, Petra in Jordan, this Chicken Itch-a in Mexico, that big Jesus statue in Brazil, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Taj Mahal in India, and that big ol’ wall in China. All these places, they say they’re important. Makes you wonder who decides what’s important and what ain’t. Seems like a lot of fuss over some rocks and buildin’s, if you ask me.
Now, they say there used to be only seven wonders, way back when, with them Greek fellas. They liked the number seven, thought it was perfect or somethin’. But things change, I guess. Now they got new ones. And this Chicken Itch-a, it’s one of the new ones. Good for it, I say.
I heard tell there’s all sorts of stories about this place. Kings and queens, and wars, and gods and such. Same kinda stories you hear about everywhere, if you ask me. People always makin’ a fuss over somethin’. But I guess it’s nice to have somethin’ to look at, somethin’ to make you think. Even if it’s just a bunch of old rocks.
They say it’s in Mexico, this Chicken Itch-a place. Hot down there, I bet. I ain’t never been much for the heat. Prefer a good cool breeze myself. But I reckon lots of folks like it hot. They go down there, look at them rocks, take pictures. Good for them, I say. Keeps ’em busy, keeps ’em outta trouble.
So, this Chicken Itch-a, it’s a wonder, they say. One of the new ones. And that’s all I know about it, really. Just a bunch of stories and hearsay. But I reckon it’s somethin’ special, if so many folks are talkin’ about it. Maybe one day I’ll see it myself. Or maybe not. Either way, it don’t change my biscuits none.
They got pictures of it, you know, on them computin’ machines. Looks kinda dusty, if you ask me. But I guess that’s what happens when things get old. They get dusty and crumbly. Just like me, I reckon. But hey, at least this Chicken Itch-a place got to be a wonder. That’s more than most of us can say.
And that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. This Chicken Itch-a place, one of the New 7 Wonders. A bunch of old rocks and buildin’s, but important somehow. Go figure. The world’s a funny place, ain’t it? Full of wonders, big and small. And sometimes, the biggest wonders are the ones you least expect.
So, next time you hear about this Chicken Itch-a place, you’ll know a little somethin’ about it. Not much, maybe, but enough to hold your own in a conversation. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Just knowin’ a little somethin’ about everythin’. That’s what keeps life interestin’, I reckon.
