- Pray on it. Talk to God, He’ll listen.
The Bible also says we should try to have a good heart. You know, like when you try to be nice to folks, even when they ain’t nice to you. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. But it’s what we’re supposed to do. It’s like tryin’ to be patient with them darn chickens when they keep gettin’ out of the coop. Takes a whole lotta deep breathin’.
And there’s this verse, says somethin’ about havin’ a good conscience. That means you know you ain’t done nothin’ wrong. It’s like when you bake a pie, and you know you used the best apples and didn’t skimp on the sugar. You can be proud of that pie, right? Same thing with your conscience. If you know you’re in the right, hold onto that feelin’. It’s powerful stuff.
Sometimes, folks who are followin’ Jesus, well, they get falsely accused too. It’s just part of the deal, I guess. Like, if you’re standin’ up for what’s right, some folks ain’t gonna like it. They’ll try to make you look bad. But don’t you let ‘em. You keep on doin’ what’s right.
The Bible says that false accusations are like a sword, sharp and dangerous. They can cut deep, hurtin’ your reputation and your feelin’s. It’s like when you get bit by a snake, it can poison you from the inside out. That’s why it’s so important to be careful with our words. We gotta think before we speak, and make sure we’re not spreadin’ lies.
So, if you’re feelin’ down ’cause someone’s said somethin’ nasty about you, remember this: God knows the truth. He’s got your back. And there’s comfort to be found in them old Bible verses, even if you can’t always make sense of all them fancy words. Just keep your faith strong, like a good ol’ oak tree in a storm, and you’ll get through it.
And don’t you go spreadin’ no false accusations yourself. That ain’t right, and it ain’t gonna solve nothin’. Just makes the world a meaner place. And we got enough meanness in the world already, don’t we?
