Alright, let’s talk about drawin’ some easy famous paintin’s, you know, the kind that even I can figure out. Don’t need no fancy learnin’ for this, just a little patience and maybe a bit of elbow grease.
What’s this “diptych” thingy? Heard some folks talkin’ ’bout it. Sounds all highfalutin’, but it just means two paintin’s that go together, like a pair of socks. You can stick ’em together or hang ’em side by side. Them old-timey folks used to do it, paintin’ on wood mostly. We ain’t gonna mess with that today, too much trouble. We’re stickin’ with easy stuff.
Paintin’, that’s just messin’ around with colors and makin’ somethin’ pretty, or at least tryin’ to. You can copy somethin’ you see or just make it up out of your head. Lord knows I’ve made up plenty of stories in my head, ain’t no different with paintin’. There’s a bunch of different ways to do it, but we’re gonna keep it simple, real simple.
Now, if you’re just startin’ out, or got a young’un who wants to paint, easy paintin’s by them famous artists is the way to go. Don’t go tryin’ to paint somethin’ fancy like them Mona Lisa fellas right off the bat. Start small, you know? Like paintin’ a simple flower or a bowl of fruit. Them famous folks, they started somewhere too, probably paintin’ chickens in the barnyard before they got all fancy.
- Flowers are good. Easy to draw, and you can use any color you want. Don’t have to be perfect, nature ain’t perfect neither.
- Bowls of fruit, that’s another good one. Just a bunch of circles and ovals, really. And you get to eat the fruit when you’re done! Well, maybe not the painted fruit, that wouldn’t taste too good.
And don’t go frettin’ about makin’ mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. That’s how you learn. Just paint over it and try again. Ain’t nothin’ lost but a little bit of paint. And paint ain’t that expensive, unless you’re buyin’ that fancy stuff the artists use in the city. We ain’t doin’ that. We’re usin’ the cheap stuff from the store, the kind that washes off with water.
Heard tell there’s ways to color your paintin’ on the computer and print it out. Sounds like a whole lot of work to me. I’d rather just use my hands and a brush. But if you’re into that computer stuff, go for it. Just make sure you save your work, wouldn’t want to lose all that hard work.
There’s this fella, Mark somethin’-or-other, says he knows the secrets of them famous painters. Well, I bet their secret is just practicin’ a whole lot. Ain’t no magic trick to it, just plain hard work. And maybe a little bit of talent, but even talent ain’t worth much if you don’t use it.
And if you got a good friend, why not paint somethin’ for ’em? Ain’t nothin’ says “I care” like a homemade gift. Could be a picture of the two of you, or just somethin’ you think they’d like. Don’t have to be perfect, remember? It’s the thought that counts. That’s what my mama always said, anyway.
So there you have it, some easy famous paintin’s you can draw. Don’t be scared, just give it a try. And if it don’t turn out perfect, who cares? You had fun, and that’s all that matters. Now go on and get paintin’!
