Angels: Who They Are and How They Help Us in Daily Life
Well, howdy there! Let’s talk about them angels. You know, the ones up in the sky, doin’ good work. Some folks say they ain’t real, just stories old grannies tell, but I reckon there’s more to it than that. Heck, even if you can’t see ’em, doesn’t mean they ain’t there, right? Like the wind, you can’t see it but you sure can feel it when it blows your hair all over the place.
So, who are these angels anyways? Well, from what I hear, they’re kinda like God’s helpers. They work for the big guy upstairs, doing His bidding. Some folks say they’re messengers, carrying messages back and forth. Like, you pray for something, and an angel whispers it in God’s ear. Or God needs something done, He sends an angel to take care of it. Kinda like when the boss man at the factory needs somethin’ done, he tells his workers, same thing I say.
- They carry messages.
- They fight battles, though not with guns and such, more like with goodness and light.
- They help folks out, that’s the main thing I figure.
Now, how do they help? That’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Well, I reckon they help in all sorts of ways. Big ways, small ways, ways you might not even notice.
Sometimes, they give you a little nudge in the right direction. You know, you’re feeling lost and confused, and suddenly, you get a feeling, a gut instinct, telling you what to do. That could be an angel, whispering in your ear. Like that time my prize-winning cow Bess went missing and I couldn’t find her anywhere, after praying to God that night I suddenly felt the urge to look over by the creek and I found her stuck in some mud. I tell you it was the angels doing.
Or maybe you’re in trouble, real trouble, and you need a miracle. Maybe a car wreck, or a fire, or some other bad thing happens. And somehow, you come out of it okay. Unscathed, like they say. That could be an angel, watching over you, protecting you from harm. Don’t think it’s just luck, sometimes you gotta think deeper than that, it could be someone or somethin’ bigger than us lending a hand.
And sometimes, they just help you feel better. You’re feeling down, sad, lonely, and you just need a little comfort. And you feel a warmth, a sense of peace, a feeling that everything’s gonna be alright. That could be an angel, comforting you, letting you know you’re not alone. Like when my husband passed, I felt so alone and sad, but one day I was sitting on the porch and I felt this warmth wash over me and it felt like he was there with me telling me it’s alright, that was sure the work of an angel.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ angels are gonna solve all your problems. They ain’t gonna make you rich, or find you a husband, or bring back your dead dog. But they can give you strength, guidance, and comfort. They can help you get through tough times. And they can remind you that there’s good in the world, even when it seems like there ain’t none left. They’re like a little bit of sunshine on a cloudy day, I tell ya.
So, how do you get help from an angel? Well, I reckon the first thing is to believe they’re real. Then, you gotta ask for help. You can pray to God, or you can just talk to the angels directly. Just pour your heart out, tell ’em what you need. And then, you gotta listen. Listen for that little voice, that gut feeling, that sense of peace. That’s the angels, talking to you. Don’t think they’re gonna yell at ya, sometimes the quietest sounds are the most important ones to listen to. Pay attention to the world around you and you’ll feel their presence I’m sure of it.
And finally, you gotta be grateful. Thank the angels for their help, even if you don’t see any results right away. They’re working behind the scenes, even when you don’t realize it. Just like the sun gives us warmth everyday, and you don’t see it at night but that doesn’t mean it isn’t doing it’s job and will be there in the morning. Angels are there and I figure we should all be more thankful for them and what they do for us all.
So, that’s my two cents on angels. I ain’t no preacher or nothin’, just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two in her life. And I believe in angels. I believe they’re real, and I believe they help us. And I reckon, if you open your heart and your mind, you’ll believe too.
