So, I ain’t no art critic, like I said. But I can tell you this much: Andy’s dog pictures, they make you think. They make you smile. They make you see dogs in a whole new light. And that, I reckon, is what art is all about. It ain’t just about pretty pictures, it’s about makin’ you see the world in a different way. And Andy, with his bright colors and his repeated dogs, he sure did that.
So, What About Archie?
And let’s not forget Archie, that little sausage dog. He was Andy’s buddy, his pal. And maybe, just maybe, Archie was the inspiration for all them dog pictures. Maybe Andy looked at Archie one day and thought, “This dog is special. This dog needs to be seen.” And so he made him immortal, in a way, with his bright colors and his pop art style. And now, all these years later, we’re still lookin’ at them dogs, and thinkin’ about Andy, and thinkin’ about Archie, and thinkin’ about the world around us.
