Avatar Blue Race: Dive Into Their World on Pandora

Well, let me tell you about them blue folks, the Na’vi, from that movie Avatar. They ain’t like us, that’s for sure. They live on some fancy moon called Pandora, not like our dusty ol’ Earth. Pandora this, Pandora that, always hearin’ about it on the TV.

These Na’vi, they’re tall and skinny, and blue, like, really blue. Not like a robin’s egg blue, more like a, uh, a deep, dark water blue. And they got these big yellow eyes, like a cat, but bigger. Scary lookin’ at first, but I guess you get used to it, just like you get used to that noisy rooster crowin’ every mornin’. They got tails too, long ones, like a monkey’s but prettier. And they talk funny, not like us, not like city folk either. They speak their own language, all clickin’ and stuff. Sounds like my old wooden chair when it’s about to break.

  • They live in trees, big giant trees, bigger than anythin’ I ever seen.
  • They ain’t got no fancy houses like them city folks, just these… nests, I guess you’d call ‘em, up in the branches.
  • Seems dangerous to me, what with them flyin’ critters and all.

The Na’vi are hunters, you know, like we used to be, back in the day. Before we got all that store-bought stuff. They hunt with bows and arrows, and them flyin’ lizard things, whatever they call ‘em. They respect the animals, though, not like them hunters that shoot everything just for fun. They take only what they need, just like the old folks used to say, “don’t take more then you need”. Them Na’vi, they’re connected to nature, to Pandora. They say they can feel the plants and animals, like they’re all part of one big… thing. Hard to explain, kinda like how I feel connected to my old garden, knowin’ just when them tomatoes need water.

Now, them humans in the movie, they come to Pandora, and they ain’t there to make friends, let me tell ya. They want something, some kinda shiny rock or somethin’, they call it unobtanium. Sounds fancy, but probably just another rock if you ask me. They don’t care about the Na’vi, or Pandora, just that rock. Reminds me of them city folks comin’ around here, tryin’ to buy up our land for their fancy buildin’s. They just take and take, never givin’ nothin’ back. Them humans, they got machines, big noisy machines, that tear up the land. They’re loud and smoky, just like that ol’ tractor down the road.

The Na’vi, they fight back, of course. They ain’t gonna let nobody just take their home. They got spirit, them blue folks. They use their bows and arrows, and their flyin’ lizard things, and they fight hard. They know their land, they know how to survive. Like us, we knew how to survive without all them city gadgets. You gotta be tough to live out here, and them Na’vi, they’re tough as nails. The Na’vi people fight hard to protect their home and everything that comes with it.

The whole thing is about respect, you see. Respect for the land, respect for nature, respect for each other. Them humans, they didn’t have no respect. They thought they could just take whatever they wanted. But the Na’vi showed them, they showed them that you can’t just take and take. You gotta give somethin’ back. You gotta be part of the world, not just own it. That’s what my gramma always used to say, “treat others how you wanna be treated, and give back more than you take.” Them Na’vi, they understand that, even if they do look like giant blue cats.

So, that’s the story of them blue folks, the Na’vi. They’re different, sure, but they’re not so different from us, really. They want the same things we do, a place to call home, food on the table, and a little peace and quiet. And they’re willing to fight for it, just like anyone would. The story shows the good and bad, like life is most of the time. And they do it looking like giant blue people on a faraway moon, which is somethin’ else, ain’t it?
