My grandbaby showed me how to look at pictures on that little box she carries around, the one she calls a “smart phone.” Imagine that! Pictures from all over the world, right there in your hand. And there they were, them images of women saints, shinin’ bright. Makes you feel connected to somethin’ bigger, you know?
You can find all sorts of saints too, not just the famous ones. Lots of women who did good deeds and lived good lives. Some of ‘em are known for helpin’ the poor, some for teachin’, some for just bein’ good neighbors. It makes you think, don’t it? You don’t gotta be famous to be a saint. You just gotta be good.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to lift your spirits, or just somethin’ pretty to look at, I reckon these pictures of female Catholic saints are a good place to start. They ain’t gonna solve all your problems, but they might just remind you that there’s hope in the world, and that there’s good people out there, and maybe even a little bit of magic too.
