Makes you wonder what that old Rubens fella would think if he knew how much his pictures were worth now. Probably laugh his head off, I reckon. Or maybe he would just keep on painting. That’s what painters do, ain’t it? They paint.
So yeah, that’s the story of Peter Paul Rubens, as best as I can tell it. A fella from a long time ago who painted some mighty fine pictures. Pictures that still make folks stop and stare, even today. Pictures that tell stories, and make you think. And that, I reckon, is a pretty good thing to leave behind.
