But it can’t buy you happiness or a good man who’ll love you true.
And speaking of work ethic, a man should be willin’ to work for what he wants. Ain’t nobody gonna hand you nothin’ on a silver platter. A man who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, that’s a man you can rely on. He should be able to fix things, you know, like a leaky faucet or a broken fence. And he should be able to provide for his family, put food on the table and a roof over their heads. That’s just basic decency.
Shared interests are a big deal too. It’s nice to have things in common, things you can do together, whether it’s gardening, or fishin’, or just sittin’ on the porch swing watchin’ the sunset. It gives you somethin’ to talk about, somethin’ to bond over. It’s like plantin’ seeds together, you watch ’em grow and it brings you closer.
Then there’s that whole “wink” thing. Some fellas just got it, that charm, that twinkle in their eye. I don’t know how they learn it, but it sure is somethin’. It’s like a secret language, a way of lettin’ you know he’s interested without sayin’ a word. It’s that little spark, that somethin’ special that sets him apart from the rest.
And lastly, a man should have a good mind. I ain’t sayin’ he gotta be a genius, but he should be smart enough to hold his own in a conversation, to think for himself, to make good decisions. A woman wants a partner, not a child she has to take care of. A man with a good mind, well, that’s attractive. It shows he’s got somethin’ goin’ on upstairs, that he’s got substance.
So, there you have it, my two cents on what makes an ideal man. He ain’t gotta be perfect, cause nobody is. But he should be kind, honest, respectful, hardworking, and have a good sense of humor.
