Then they go on about different kinds of goddesses. Like there’s one for this and one for that. Well, I guess that makes sense. We all got different strengths and weaknesses. Some folks are good at cookin’, some are good at fixin’ things, some are just good at listenin’. And them old stories, they teach ya things, even if they sound crazy. They tell ya about brave women, clever women, strong women. They remind you that women ain’t just supposed to be quiet and do what they’re told. We got our own minds, our own wills.
Wakin’ up that inner power
So, how do you wake up this “inner power”? Well, it ain’t magic, that’s for sure. You gotta know yourself, what you’re good at, what you believe in. You gotta love yourself, even the parts you don’t like so much. And you gotta stand up for yourself, tell folks what you will and won’t do. And that “passion” they talk about? Well, to me, passion is just doin’ what you love, what you believe in, with all your heart. It’s tendin’ to your garden, even when your back aches. It’s singin’ along to the radio, even when your voice cracks. It’s standin’ up for your family, even when it’s hard. That’s the passion of a… whatever they call it… a goddess, a woman, a human bein’. It’s all the same in the end.
