Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… trivia goddess thing. Don’t know what it is exactly, but sounds fancy. My old man always said, “If it sounds fancy, it’s probably trouble.” But hey, you young folks like this stuff, so let’s see what the fuss is about.
So, this “trivia goddess,” it’s like them quizzes you find in them magazines at the store, right? The ones with the pretty ladies on the cover? Yeah, them. Except this one, it’s about them old-timey gods and goddesses from, where was it? Greece, I think. My grandson, he’s always talking about them Greek fellas, Zeus and such. Says they got powers and whatnot. Sounds like a load of hooey to me, but okay.
Now, this quiz, it asks you questions, see? Like, “Are you a bossy type?” Or, “Do you like to fight?” Or maybe, “Are you always chasin’ after the fellas?” Stuff like that. And dependin’ on how you answer, they tell you which goddess you’re like. Kinda like them horoscopes, but with more… goddesses. They say there’s a whole bunch of ’em. Not just the ones everyone knows, like that Athena lady, the smart one. They got more. Fourteen, they say. Fourteen! That’s a lot of goddesses, if you ask me. What do they even do all day?

So, why do folks care about this trivia goddess stuff anyway? Beats me. Maybe it’s fun to think you’re like some powerful god or goddess. Makes you feel special, I guess. Like you got somethin’ the other folks don’t. Or maybe it’s just somethin’ to do when you’re bored. Like them crossword puzzles. Keeps your mind busy, they say.
But I tell you what, all this talk about goddesses and quizzes… It ain’t gonna get the chores done, now is it? You gotta get out there and work, that’s what I say. Can’t be sittin’ around dreamin’ about bein’ some fancy goddess all day. Life ain’t a fairy tale, you know. It’s hard work and sweat and makin’ do with what you got. That’s what my grandma used to say, and she was a tough old bird, let me tell you.
Ancient Greece and all that… it’s just stories, right? Like them bedtime stories you tell the little ones. Entertainin’, maybe, but not real.
