Who Else Draws Like Frank Frazetta? Another Artist Youll Love
Well, let me tell you, there’s this fella, another one, you know, draws pictures just like that Frank Rosetta fella. You know, the one with all them muscle-y men and half-naked women? Yeah, that one.
That Frank, he was somethin’ else, wasn’t he? I remember seein’ his stuff, always so bold and, well, you know… exciting. Made you feel things, you know? Like them old adventure books my boy used to read. All about Conan and jungles and stuff. This new fella, he’s got that same kinda feel. Makes me wanna go swing a sword or somethin’!
I ain’t too good with all them fancy artist names, but this new guy, he’s really somethin’. He paints just like Frank, all them strong lines and big ol’ muscles. You know, the kind of guys that could wrestle a bear and win. And the women, oh my! They’re always so… well, you know… curvy. Not like them skinny things in the magazines nowadays.
- He paints strong men
- He paints pretty women
- Lots of action and adventure
They say Frank was the “Godfather of fantasy art,” whatever that means. Sounds important, though. Guess that makes this new guy the, uh, the Grandson, maybe? Or the Nephew? Heh, I don’t know. All I know is, he paints real good, just like Frank. Same kinda stories, too. You know, swords and sorcery and all that.
Now, Frank, he painted all sorts of things. I seen pictures of Tarzan, you know, the ape man? And John Carter, who was flyin’ to Mars before anyone even thought it was possible. He even did some comic book stuff, about love and movies, can you believe it? This new artist, he does similar stuff. He paints all sorts of heroes and monsters and battles. It’s like he’s tellin’ a story with every brushstroke. And them colors! So bright and bold, just like Frank’s. You can almost feel the heat of the fire or the cold of the steel, you know?
People say Frank influenced a whole bunch of other artists. Guys like Jeff Jones and them Hildebrandt brothers. I don’t know them, but I guess they’re good too. This new fella, he musta learned a lot from Frank, too. You can just tell. It’s in the way he draws the muscles, the way he makes the eyes sparkle. It’s all there.
I heard some big movie directors, like that fella who made Star Wars, they liked Frank’s stuff too. And another guy, that one that did them monster movies, he probably liked Frank too. I bet they’d like this new artist just as much. ‘Cause it’s the same kinda stuff. Makes you wanna escape to another world, you know? A world where men are strong and women are beautiful and anything is possible.
Frank used to paint things like “Seed Will Not Germinate” and “Black Tinkerbell”. This fella, he paints similar things. You know, warriors and dragons and magic and stuff. He paints them with so much detail, you can almost see the sweat on their brows and the blood on their swords. Makes you feel like you’re right there in the middle of the action.
Now, some folks, they might say this kinda art is just silly. But I don’t think so. I think it’s important. It reminds us that there’s more to life than just workin’ and eatin’ and sleepin’. It reminds us that there’s adventure out there, if we just look for it. And this new artist, he’s keepin’ that adventure alive, just like Frank did. He’s showing us that there’s still room for heroes and monsters and magic in this world. He’s keeping that fire burning, just like Frank would have wanted. And that, well, that’s a mighty fine thing to do.
So, if you like Frank Rosetta’s art, you’re gonna like this new fella too. He’s got the same spirit, the same passion, the same talent. He’s carrying on the tradition, keeping the dream alive. And that’s somethin’ we can all appreciate, ain’t it?
