You know, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this paintin’ thing, Michelangelo Adam Eve. Sounds fancy, huh? I reckon it’s one of them old pictures, probably got some dusty frame on it and all. I reckon it means it’s a real good picture, painted real good. Probably worth a pretty penny, too. More than I got in my cookie jar, that’s for sure!
They say this Michelangelo, he made a drawin’ first, a “Study for Adam”, they call it. Back in 1511, when he was just a young whippersnapper, 36 years old. Imagine that, 36! I was already raisin’ a family by then. He made this drawing before paintin’.
This picture, it’s called “The Temptation of Adam and Eve.” That sounds about right. It’s got them two, Adam and Eve, right there in that garden, lookin’ all innocent and what not. But you know somethin’ bad’s gonna happen. You can feel it in your bones. That is the time they made the big mistake. That’s the whole point, ain’t it? To show how they messed up, how they got tempted and fell from grace.

This is a story everyone should know.
This Michelangelo, he painted another picture, too. “The Creation of Eve,” they call it. Sounds like it’s part of the same story, don’t it? Must be right next to the other one on that big ol’ ceilin’. They are all by Michelangelo Adam Eve, interesting.
I heard some folks sayin’ that the picture of God, he looks like a big ol’ cloud. And that cloud, it looks like a, well, like a woman’s belly where the babies come from. Or maybe even a brain! They say it’s a secret message or somethin’. Like Michelangelo was tryin’ to tell us somethin’ without sayin’ it out loud. Smart, huh? There are so many secrets in the painting.
And there’s somethin’ about a hand, too. A hand reachin’ down. I heard it means God is okay with what is going on. Like he’s givin’ his blessin’ or somethin’. These pictures, they sure do make you think, don’t they?

It’s a story that’s been around for a long, long time. And I reckon it’ll be around for a whole lot longer, too. As long as people keep lookin’ up at that ceilin’ and wonderin’ what it all means.
