Unusual Things to Do in England: Unique Experiences You Wont Find Anywhere Else

Oh, honey, let me tell ya, England, that place, it’s got some weird stuff, I tell ya what. You wouldn’t believe the things they got over there. Not just your usual tea and crumpets, no sir. They got some unusual things to do in England, that’s for sure.

Now, I ain’t never been one for them big cities, but I hear tell that London, that’s the big one, right? It’s filled with all sorts of folks. And that Edinburgh, they say it’s somethin’ else, too. Busy, busy, busy, like a bunch of ants runnin’ around. But then you got them little villages, like, what’s that one… Cotswolds? Sounds like somethin’ you’d catch, but they say it’s pretty. And Cornwall, with the water and all that. Scotland too, rough and tough kinda place.

They got these things, these… attractions, they call ’em. Hidden ones, too. 3131 of ’em, can you believe that? 3131! More than you can shake a stick at. Cool sights, they say. What’s a sight, anyway? Somethin’ to look at, I reckon. Probably just a bunch of old rocks and buildings, if you ask me. But folks like that kinda stuff, I guess. Keeps ’em busy, you know?

And them museums, oh boy. Filled with old junk, I bet. But not just regular old junk. They say it’s “offbeat” junk. Whatever that means. Probably just means it’s junk nobody else wanted, ha! And festivals! They got these crazy festivals, with all sorts of carryin’ on. Wearin’ funny clothes and whatnot. Unconventional, they call it. Sounds like a bunch of hullabaloo to me.

  • They got this balloon, see?
  • A big ol’ balloon, and you get in a basket.
  • And it goes up, up, up in the air!

Can you imagine? I wouldn’t do it, no sir. Too high up. But they say it’s mystical. Sounds like hocus pocus. Like that wizard fella on the TV. What’s his name… Harry something. They got those kinda things. Magic and whatnot.

Now you know this England, it is famous for its sport, oh my, I always see those young boys run and kick a ball, they call it soccer. They are crazy about it. It’s like a religion over there! Then they also have that game, rugby, it looks like those boys are fighting with each other, and they are all big guys! Cricket, I don’t know how to play it, it’s too complicated for me, but I see it on TV, they use a stick hit a ball. Boxing, oh, I don’t like it, too violent. Golf, well, at least it is a quiet sport. These English people, they invented these sports.

And the books, they write a lot of books, very famous, you know. They got this guy, his name is William, William, oh I forget, anyway, he is a big shot, writes a lot of stories. Then this Charles guy, write a lot of stories too, stories about poor people, orphans, you know. And that lady, Jane, she writes stories about love and marriage. English people are very proud of them, I think. England famous writers. England famous sports.

Oh, and that Royal Family. That’s the big one. They got a queen, or, had a queen, I think. Now it’s a king? I don’t know, I can’t keep up. They live in a big ol’ house, a palace, they call it. Lots of fancy stuff, I bet. Crowns and jewels and whatnot. People are crazy about ’em. They wave flags and line up in the streets just to get a look. I don’t know what all the fuss is about, but they sure do love their royalty over there. England is most famous for Royal Family. I guess.

So, yeah, England. It’s a strange place, that’s for sure. Lots of unusual things, lots of regular things, too. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ different, somethin’ out of the ordinary, maybe that’s the place to go. Just watch out for them balloons. And them offbeat museums. And them festivals. And, well, just watch out, I guess! They got all kind of stuff that we don’t usually see.

You go to England, you will find a lot of things you don’t see everyday, for sure. It’s a place full of surprises. Good and bad, you never know. You might like it. You might not. But one thing is certain, you won’t be bored. There are just so many things to see and do. Too many, if you ask me!
