Now, I ain’t no artist, but I’ve seen my share of pictures. And the best ones, the ones that really make you stop and look, they’re the ones that tell a story. Even if it’s just a story about a bowl of fruit. You can tell stories using still life artwork. It can be a story about how pretty the fruit is, or how it’s startin’ to go bad, or how someone just left it there and forgot about it. Whatever you want.

Somethin’ to hang on the wall, or give to your grandkids. Somethin’ to show the world. You don’t need to be an artist to make still life artwork, anyone can do it.

Just remember what I said: pick your stuff careful, get the light right, and arrange it so it looks pretty. And most importantly, have fun with it. You can start with simple objects, that’s easier to make good still life artwork. That’s all there is to it. Now go on, get to it! You got pictures to make!
