Unboxing the Post 1991 Collector Series: A Complete Review for You!
Hey guys, it’s been a while! Today, I wanna talk about something that’s been taking up a lot of my time lately: the 1991 Post Collector Series. Yeah, it sounds old, and it is, but that’s part of the charm, right?
So, I started by digging into what this series even is. Turns out, it’s a set of 30 baseball cards. They’re not huge, about 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. One thing I noticed right away is that they don’t have any team logos. Kinda weird, but it gives them a unique look. Also, each card has a reproduced autograph on it, which is a cool touch.
After I got a basic understanding of the set, I decided to try and find a complete set. I searched online. It took some time but I got some sellers.
I compared the prices, read through the descriptions. It felt like a bit of a treasure hunt, to be honest. And just like any good treasure hunt, there were some letdowns. Some listings weren’t as described, some sellers were asking for way too much money. It was a bit of a rollercoaster.
Finally, I found a set that seemed legit. I paid for it, and waited. When they arrived, it was pretty exciting. I opened the package and there they were, all 30 cards, just like in the pictures online.
I spent the next few days going through each card, one by one. I checked for creases, looked at the corners, the edges, all that stuff. I wanted to make sure I got what I paid for, you know? Overall, they were in pretty good shape, considering how old they are.
The last thing I did was to put them in protective sleeves. I found a binder that fit them perfectly. Now, they’re safely stored away, part of my ever-growing collection. It’s not just about having them, it’s about the process of finding them, learning about them, and finally adding them to my collection. That’s what makes it fun for me.
So, that’s my journey with the 1991 Post Collector Series. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. If you’re into collecting, I definitely recommend checking it out. It’s a neat little piece of baseball history.
