Okay, so I was messing around with this idea of influential people in the Bible, right? It started out as just a little curiosity, but man, did it turn into a whole thing. I’m going to walk you through what I did, what I found, and how I put it all together.
First off, I started by just jotting down names that popped into my head. You know, the big ones like Moses, David, Jesus – the usual suspects. Then, I hit up the internet, just to see what other folks thought were important figures. I found some interesting lists, a few articles, and even this National Geographic thing about the 50 most influential figures. It was pretty cool, all yellow and illustrated and stuff.
Brainstorming and List-Making
I grabbed a notebook and started making my own list, trying to organize it a bit. I divided it into Old Testament and New Testament, just to keep things somewhat tidy. I ended up with a pretty long list, and that’s when I realized I needed to narrow it down, or I’d be writing a whole book.
- Old Testament:
- Aaron: Moses’ older brother, Israel’s first high priest (Numbers 26:59, Exodus 28:1).
- Adam,Abel and so on.
- New Testament:
- Jesus: You know.
- Paul: Wrote a bunch of letters.
- Gospel Authors: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John.
- Apostle John: The beloved one.
Digging Deeper
So, I decided to focus on seven key influencers from the Bible. These aren’t necessarily the “best” or the most important, but they’re the ones that I felt like exploring more. There’s so many others in the Old Testament and New Testament, like Nephilim, but the most influential leaders from the Bible, I picked Moses, David, Solomon, then the Prophets as a group, Paul the apostle, the guys who wrote the Gospels, and John, the “beloved” apostle. I started reading up on each of them, not just in the Bible, but also in other sources. I wanted to get a feel for who they were, what they did, and why they were considered influential.
Putting It All Together
After a bunch of reading and note-taking, I started putting together little summaries for each of these seven influencers. I tried to keep it simple and straightforward, just highlighting the key things about them. Like, Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and got the Ten Commandments. David was the shepherd-turned-king who wrote a lot of the Psalms. Solomon was the wise king who built the temple. It was all pretty interesting stuff, once I got into it.
I thought about making this into a blog post or maybe even a series of posts, but then I figured, nah, I’ll just keep it as my own little project for now. It was more about the journey of learning and discovery, you know? And who knows, maybe I’ll come back to it later and do something more with it. But for now, it’s just something I did for myself, and it was a pretty rewarding experience.
So if the topic of influential people in the Bible comes up, you’ll know I’ve done my homework. It’s not always about having the right answers, sometimes it’s just about asking the right questions and seeing where they take you. I hope you can learn something from my experience.
