Alright, so today I’m gonna tell you guys about this little adventure I had in Brooklyn. The address was 30 Covert Street, Brooklyn, NY. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, let me tell you, it turned into a whole thing.
First off, I started by trying to find this place. I mean, how hard could it be? I plugged the address into my phone, you know, like you do. I figured I’d just follow the directions and be on my way. My phone gave me the usual stuff – estimated time, best route, blah blah blah.

So, I started driving. Now, I’m cruising through Brooklyn, and the streets start getting narrower, more crowded, the usual city stuff. I’m following the little blue dot on my map, feeling pretty good. Then, bam! The directions start getting weird. I mean, really weird. It’s telling me to turn down streets that look like they haven’t been used in decades, make U-turns where there’s clearly no space, the whole nine yards.
At one point, I ended up on this tiny street, barely wide enough for my car. I’m talking parked cars on both sides, barely any room to breathe. And guess what? It’s a dead end! I had to do this awkward 10-point turn just to get out of there. It was a mess.
Finding the Actual Place
After that whole ordeal, I decided to ditch the map for a bit and just drive around the area. I figured I’d try to spot the building number or something. I started looking up property listings, you know just trying to see if there are any pictures online and then maybe I could spot the building, and some of them are actually pretty nice with some private bathroom, floor to ceiling windows, but that’s not the point, I am just trying to find this place. After driving around for what felt like forever, I finally saw a building that looked kind of familiar. I parked the car and decided to check it out on foot.
I walked up to the building, and sure enough, there it was: number 30. I found it! It was like finding a needle in a haystack, but I did it. It was this older brick building, nothing fancy, but it had this cool, vintage vibe to it. It was not luxury at all.
So, that’s the story of how I spent way too much time trying to find 30 Covert Street in Brooklyn. It was a bit of a headache, but hey, at least I got a good story out of it, right?
