Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this idea of creating a beautiful landscape painting. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try, and I finally decided to just go for it. I started by looking around online, trying to get some inspiration and maybe some tips. Found a bunch of websites where people buy and sell paintings, like Catawiki and Artnet. They had some really cool stuff, but I wanted to make my own, not buy one.
I kept digging and stumbled upon SINGULART, which seemed to be a place for artists to sell their work. They had a whole section on landscape paintings, which was helpful to see what other people were doing. There were also some guides on where to buy paintings online, which wasn’t exactly what I needed, but it was still interesting to browse through the different styles and subjects.
Then I found this online art gallery with a “Landscapes” collection. That was more like it! I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through all the different pieces they had for sale. It really got my creative juices flowing, seeing the variety of ways artists capture nature. They had these limited edition numbered art photos too, with some pretty sweet discounts going on.
After soaking all that in, I felt ready to start. I gathered my supplies—some canvases, a bunch of paintbrushes, and a whole rainbow of acrylic paints. I cleared off my kitchen table, put on some music, and just started painting. No real plan, just letting my instincts guide me.
I started by painting the background, messing around with different shades of blue for the sky, and then adding some greens and browns for the hills and fields. I got lost in the process, just adding layers and textures, trying to create a sense of depth and atmosphere. It was a little messy at first, and honestly, I wasn’t sure where I was going with it.
But I kept at it, adding more details—some trees, a little river, maybe a few clouds. I played around with different brushstrokes, trying to make the trees look realistic and the water look like it was flowing. It was definitely a learning process, and there were moments when I felt like I was messing it up. But I just kept going, trusting that it would eventually come together.
After a few hours, I finally stepped back to look at what I had created. It wasn’t perfect, but I was actually pretty happy with it! It was a beautiful landscape, full of color and life. It wasn’t exactly what I had envisioned when I started, but it was something unique and personal. This was a lot of fun.
