I was super pumped to hear about this tournament. Smash Camp is always a blast, and the whole “New Lands” vibe felt really fresh. It was held in Gresham, Oregon, from May 31st to June 2nd, so it was a whole weekend of awesome Smash action.
You know what I love about Smash Camp? The community is so welcoming, and it’s a great way to connect with other Smash Bros. fans. Plus, it’s a chance to see some incredible competition, with players from all over the place coming to show off their skills. I heard that the Melee and Project+ scenes were both super strong this year.
One of the coolest things about Smash Camp is that they have a lot of different events besides just the main tournaments. They have side tournaments for other games, as well as some fun activities like a costume contest and a raffle.
I’m not gonna lie, I was a little bummed that I couldn’t make it to Smash Camp this year. But I’m still really happy for all the players and fans who were there. It sounded like an amazing time! I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. I’ll definitely be there, rocking my best Smash gear.

What Makes Smash Camp So Special?
For me, Smash Camp is about more than just the competition. It’s about the community, the fun, and the shared love of Super Smash Bros. It’s a chance to celebrate everything that makes Smash Bros. so great.
You know what else? The organizers always do a fantastic job of creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, no matter what their skill level is. It’s a place where you can meet new people, make new friends, and just enjoy the joy of playing video games.
Looking Ahead
Now that the dust has settled on Smash Camp: New Lands 2024, I’m already excited for the next one. I’m thinking about what I’ll do differently next time. Maybe I’ll try entering one of the side tournaments, or maybe I’ll just focus on watching the main events. Whatever I end up doing, I know I’ll have a great time!
