Well, now let me tell ya ‘bout this name, Charlotte Davis. Like, there’s this one gal who’s been all up in the politics. Yup, I heard she’s a Senior Legislative Assistant up there in the U.S. House of Representatives. Now, I ain’t one to keep track of them fancy government folks, but from what I gather, she’s real busy, workin’ away in Washington D.C., doing who knows what. She done went to Ohio State University too, so she must be smart as a whip. People look up to her, I reckon, but I couldn’t tell ya much ‘bout what all that entails. Seems like a whole lotta rules and fancy words to me.
But then again, there’s another Charlotte Davis I heard about who was all into psychology. That was Charlotte Kasl, born Charlotte Davis, but that was back in the day. She lived a long life, from 1938 to 2021, bless her heart. She’s done worked hard and helped folks with their minds, trying to get ‘em right when they ain’t feelin’ so good inside. I don’t know much ‘bout psychology, but I figure if you spend your life helpin’ people feel better, you must be doin’ somethin’ right.
Then there’s that Charlotte Davis Mooers, born in 1924, she was another one who left her mark in this world before she passed away in 2005. I don’t know exactly what she done, but I reckon she probably helped folks too, just like the rest of ‘em.
But now, not all the Charlottes out there are in government or studyin’ people’s minds. There’s also them that go through real tough times, like the one I heard ‘bout in a book. This Charlotte Davis, she’s only seventeen but already been through more pain than most people face their whole lives. Lost so much, poor thing. But she’s learned how to forget, and that broken glass? Well, it just washes away. I reckon that’s a hard way to live, but sometimes you gotta learn to cope with the pain, even if it’s all broken up like glass on the ground.
Ya see, “Charlotte Davis” might just be a name, but it sure can stand for all sorts of folks, each with their own story to tell. Some folks climb up high, get into politics, help the government run smooth. Others work with minds, tryin’ to fix what’s broken inside. Some don’t get to live long, but they still leave something behind. And some, well, they just tryin’ to survive in this world with all the heartache that life throws at ‘em. Ain’t no one story the same, but if you ask me, every Charlotte Davis got a place in this world, one way or another.
