Hey everyone, I’m here today to share my experience on Matthew Skic. This whole thing started when I bumped into some interesting stuff about the American Revolution. It is not a secret that I am super into the history of the American Revolution and historical craftsmanship, you know, the whole shebang.
So, I started digging around and found out about this guy, Matthew Skic. Turns out, he’s a big deal at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. He’s the Curator of Exhibitions, which sounds pretty important, right? I figured this was someone worth learning more about.
First, I hit up the usual spots online, just trying to get a general sense of who this guy is. I found out he’s from New Jersey, which is cool, and that he’s been involved in some interesting projects at the museum. One that caught my eye was something about George Washington’s war tent. Apparently, it’s been a centerpiece at the museum since 2017. That’s a pretty big deal, having something that belonged to Washington himself!

I think it’s super important to tell these stories, and it looks like Matthew Skic is doing a great job with it. I also found out about some other project he’s launching at the Moorestown Library. I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for that.
This whole experience has been pretty cool. I started out just curious about the American Revolution, and now I’ve discovered this whole world of exhibits and historical research that I didn’t even know existed. It just goes to show that there’s always more to learn, and people like Matthew Skic are out there doing the hard work to bring these stories to the public. Also, I found an American Revolution drawing, hope I can do the same thing as Matthew!
