Today, I want to talk about Jacques d’Arc, the father of Joan of Arc. I’ve been digging into the history of this family for a while now, and it’s pretty interesting stuff.
So, first off, I started by gathering some basic information. Jacques d’Arc was born around 1380, and he was a farmer. Not just any farmer, though – he owned about fifty acres of land near Domremy, which, you know, back in those days, was a pretty big deal. He wasn’t rich, but he was definitely doing better than most of the peasants around him. I used various books and checked them many times.
Then, I looked into his family. He was married to Isabelle Romee, and they had a bunch of kids. Of course, the most famous one is Joan of Arc, who was born in 1412.
