Get American Indian Movement Images: Best Pics You Should See

Today I’m going to talk about how I found those American Indian Movement images. Honestly, it wasn’t that hard, but it did take a bit of time and effort.

First, I started by hitting up the usual spots, you know, those big stock photo websites. I typed in “American Indian Movement” in their search bars and browsed through what they had. There’s this one site, I think it’s called Shutterstock, that had a bunch of pictures. They say they have “millions” of these royalty-free photos and stuff. I found some decent ones there, but I wanted to see what else was out there.

Then I moved on to another big one, Getty Images. They also have a pretty big collection. Their stuff looked a bit more “premium,” whatever that means. I guess the quality was a bit higher. I did find some good images there, too, but I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so I kept digging.

I also came across some websites that specifically said they had collections of American Indian Movement photos. One of them even had a dedicated collection of 21 photographs. I’m not sure how legit these sites were, but I checked them out anyway.

Besides these, I also just used good old Google Image Search. I typed in “American Indian Movement” and filtered the results to show only images that were free to use. I found some interesting stuff there, too. You’d be surprised at what you can find with a simple Google search.

While I was doing all this searching, I also read a bit about the movement itself. I learned that it started in 1968 in Minnesota and that they occupied Alcatraz Island in 1969. They also did this “Trail of Broken Treaties” march to Washington, D.C. It sounds like they were fighting for their rights and against things like unemployment, bad housing, and racism. It’s pretty heavy stuff, actually.

I spent a good few hours doing all of this. It wasn’t exactly a walk in the park, but it wasn’t rocket science either. Just a lot of clicking, scrolling, and reading.

Here’s a quick rundown of where I looked:

  • Shutterstock: They had a bunch of photos, like a lot.
  • Getty Images: Their stuff looked a bit fancier.
  • Some smaller websites: Said they had specific collections, but who knows.
  • Google Image Search: Found some interesting pics there, too.

So yeah, that’s basically how I did it. It took some time, but I managed to find a good amount of American Indian Movement images. If you’re looking for these kinds of images, I’d say it’s definitely doable. Just be prepared to spend some time on it and look in multiple places.

Hope this helps someone out there!
